Parties believed to forge consensus on regulation

Speaker Gharti said this while talking to journalists following the consultative meeting with top leaders and chief whips of major political parties to seek a consensus on the formulation of parliamentary regulations.
She pointed out the need of formulating the regulation at the earliest as the country is moving ahead towards the implementation of the new constitution. "The leaders have shown responsibility to people in framing and amending the constitution rising above from their partisan principles and values", she said it has imparted a good message to the people.
The foremost responsibility now is to promulgate the regulations, she said, adding, "I would like to conclude the matter on full consensus to the possible extent, otherwise through maximum consensus". The Speaker noted, "We are flexible to accommodate time for the general convention of the Nepali Congress. They would provide support to finalize the regulation in a prompt manner Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Prasad Kharel pointed out the need of forging consensus on the regulations that would not make in explicit explanation of the clear provisions enshrined in the constitution when the country is on the run-up to the implementation of the national charter.
